I might be going to Indiana this Thursday if I get permission to miss school. Got off the phone with some nice folks at Notre Dame a while ago and they want me to come up there to have a "chat". I'm not going to get my hopes up, but if it means what I think it means, it's going to be damn exciting.

Prom seems to be a hot topic these days and that's good and all, but I'm going to bring something else to the table if that's alright. I reckon with all the talk of dresses and limos, important questions have been pushed aside and again, that's okay, but they need to be asked.

Hello, Apple Creek. I'm Mitch Moreau. Yeah, you read right. You probably know me as the Ranger's (star) defensive tackle. I'm in my junior year and I'm taking Weightlifting, Algebra II, AP Economics and Spanish III right now. Can’t say I’m much of a writer, I always thought this journal business and talking about your feelings and life and crap was something you’d catch the guys in the drama crowd doing, but here goes.

I live in Hyde Park with my parents, my brother Ben and my sister Janice when she’s not studying at Tulane. Football is my life. I’ve been playing for as long as I can remember and it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. I’m waiting for the nice folks at LSU to stop by sometime next year and offer me a football scholarship to their fine institution. After that, it’s the NFL and a Super Bowl win for me.

I'm also on the wrestling team and on weekends, I work at Play It Again Sports (which my dad ownes) and volunteer at church. My favorite color is blue and I never say no to spending some time with the prettiest girl in entire school, Lucy West.

60 words shy of 250. Alright, alright, I’ll talk about myself some more.

My favorite football team is the New Orleans Saints. Don’t care what anyone says, they’re going to play the Super Bowl in the near future, you just wait and see. If you ask me, New Orleans is the best place to be but Apple Creek is a close second. Was born and raised here and I love this town. It’s full of good people with a lot of heart. After my NFL career is over, you can bet that I'll be coming back. Hell, maybe I'll even take over Mr. Osowski's job coaching the football team.
